Presentation
Designed for 6-string basses, the EMG 45JAX pickup is distinguished by its extended 115 mm soapbar format. Its coil is positioned towards the back of the body, close to the bridge to reinforce the attack and develop harmonics. You get great clarity at the top end of the spectrum, without sacrificing the roundness of the bass.
The jazz bass character is clearly present, but enriched by a wider frequency range. The Alnico magnets produce a warm, natural sound with a high level of detail. Despite its active design, this pickup approaches the feel of a passive thanks to the integrated X Series preamp.
Extremely quiet, the 45JAX limits unwanted noise while maintaining excellent definition. The EMG design is based on a low resistance/inductance ratio, which enhances bass depth.
Solderless installation greatly simplifies assembly, even for amateurs. The pack includes all the necessary components: potentiometers, cables, screws and stereo output.
