The EMG BQS Control preamp gives you total control over the sound of your bass, with separate bass and treble controls. The variable midrange (100Hz-1kHz) lets you precisely shape your centre frequency. Compatible with active or passive pickups, it's easy to integrate into any setup!

The EMG BQS Control gives you precise, direct control over the sound of your bass. With separate active controls for bass and treble, it's clear and intuitive to use.
The concentric midrange knob adds a level of finesse rarely found in this range. You can sweep the midrange frequencies from 100 Hz to 1 kHz to target exactly the area you want to change. A central notch on each pot makes it easy to find a neutral setting.
The system works with both active and passive microphones, making it compatible with a wide range of configurations. Two additional volume knobs are included in the box, in case you want to take your customisation a step further.
With an input impedance of 500k Ohms and an 18V power supply, the circuit retains clarity and power even at high boost. Bass and treble controls offer up to ±12dB of headroom.
Thanks to its low power consumption (740 µA at 18V), you can play for long periods without replacing the battery. The system includes all cables, a battery clip, a stereo output and four control buttons. Installation is made easy by EMG's typical solderless wiring.
