The EMG PJHZ Black set is aimed at bassists who want character without the constraints of active strings. It features a P-HZ neck and an LJ-HZ bridge, both passive, both shielded, and both capable of producing a clean, ultra-quiet signal.
Under the matt black bonnets, the Alnico 5 magnets are discreet and respond to the ear. The P-HZ delivers full bass and a robust midrange, while the LJ-HZ plays the precise card of attack and taut highs. The duo strikes a fine balance between vintage warmth and modern edginess.
Assembly is child's play thanks to the 100% solderless cabling: everything is supplied, from screws to IDC connectors. And if you're fussy, the bridge is already grounded.
Compatible with the majority of Fender PJ format basses, this set is just as suitable for a garage rehearsal as it is for a pro studio. A VVT (Volume / Volume / Tone) cable gives you the freedom to adjust the grain.
