The EMG SAV is for those who want a real Strat sound, but without the hiss and inaccuracy of passive single mics.
Thanks to its flat Alnico V magnets, it maintains tonal balance across the entire fingerboard, making it particularly well-suited to guitars with a flat radius. It delivers a clean, expressive sound, with that famous 'quack' that's perfect for funk, clean arpeggios and bluesy rhythms. In clean sound, it retains its precision without becoming too bright. And if you push the overdrive a little, it retains a good level of detail.
Its active format limits background noise (-101dB signal-to-noise ratio) while delivering a solid signal at up to 3V strumming.
Installation is quick thanks to the solderless cabling, supplied with all the necessary components: pots, cables, screws and springs. It works on its own or with other EMG microphones or accessories such as EXG, SPC or RPC modules.
It's a pickup that's just as suited to a modern Strat as it is to a musician who likes to switch from funk to blues without changing guitar.
