ARTICLE N° 118142
The James Jamerson 1962 Precision Bass 3-Tone Sunburst from Fender is a faithful reissue of the instrument that accompanied one of the most influential bassists in history. Designed to capture the spirit and sound of Jamerson's original bass, it combines an alder body with a Heirloom Nitrocellulose finish, replicating the aesthetics and natural ageing of the '60s models.

The maple neck with its '60s C-profile, combined with a solid rosewood fingerboard with a 7.25" radius, provides a comfortable, authentic playing feel. The 20 vintage tall frets add to the classic experience, while the bone saddle ensures optimum vibration transmission.

At the heart of the instrument, the James Jamerson '62 Split Single-Coil Precision Bass pickup delivers powerful, articulate bass with the warmth and precision that defined the Motown sound. Simple volume and tone controls make it easy to adjust the sound.

The Pure Vintage bridge with four threaded steel bridges and reverse open-gear action guarantee stability and reliability. Supplied in a vintage brown case with orange interior, this bass is as much a tool for creating music as it is a tribute to Jamerson's heritage, offering musicians a direct connection with a founding era.
