The NS Design Radius Bass CR 4 Strings doesn't just push back the boundaries; it redefines the very experience of playing bass. The maple body, topped with a flamed top, adopts a Diradial™ profile with a concave back. It hugs the torso for unwavering stability. The one-piece screwed maple neck incorporates carbon reinforcement and a double-action truss rod. This Fusion architecture provides exceptional rigidity, guaranteeing precise intonation and extended sustain throughout the entire range. The ebony fingerboard, 15″ radius and easy access to the 24 frets make for fast, articulate playing. The feel under the fingers is that of an instrument built for performance.

The real revolution lies in its hybrid pickup system, the result of a collaboration between NS Design and EMG. The one-piece aluminium bridge houses a Polar™ piezo pickup, reproducing the harmonic complexity of an acoustic bass. NS/EMG magnetic pickups, meanwhile, provide the necessary bite and pressure. The 18-volt active preamp delivers generous headroom, immune to saturation, even at high volumes.

The control section is an acoustic playground. A rotary blender lets you merge magnetic and piezo signals in infinite proportions. A 3-position selector controls the magnetic pickups, while a dedicated switch modulates the piezo's EQ response. Coupled with the active bass and treble EQs, these tools offer raw tonal versatility, from punchy slap to warm, round lines.
