The Fender Player II Mustang Bass PJ Cactus Gray is a short-scale bass guitar with an alder body and PJ pickups with AlNiCo V magnets. It features a Modern C profile maple neck with a 9.5" radius fingerboard and 30" scale. This bass combines Precision Bass® grain and Jazz Bass® definition in a compact format.

Presentation
The Fender Player II Mustang Bass PJ Cactus Gray is a solid body electric bass guitar from the Player II series designed for comfortable, direct playing. It features an alder body with a Gloss Polyester finish in Cactus Gray. The maple neck has a Modern C profile with a satin finish on the back and a gloss finish on the front. The fingerboard, available in maple or rosewood depending on the version, has a 9.5" radius and rounded edges. The instrument includes a 30" (762 mm) short scale and a 38.1 mm nut.
The electronics include a Precision Bass® split-coil pickup with AlNiCo V magnets, combined with a Jazz Bass® single-coil pickup with AlNiCo V magnets. This PJ configuration allows you to explore solid bass registers, present mids and defined highs. A 3-position switch lets you select the bridge pickup, the 2 pickups together or the centre pickup. The controls are limited to a Master Volume and a Master Tone for simple, effective use.
The bridge is a standard model with 4 single-grooved steel bridges. This design allows precise adjustment of intonation and string height. The vintage-style exposed-gear action ensures consistent tuning stability. The hardware is finished in nickel/chrome with a 3-ply Parchment pickguard. The bass comes standard with Fender USA 7250M strings in .045-.105 gauge. No case is included, but a FBSS610 Short Scale Bass case is recommended.
