Focusrite - Scarlett 4I4 G4
Focusrite's 4th generation Scarlett 4i4 is a 4-in/4-out USB-C audio interface designed for musicians, creators and podcasters. It features two Scarlett preamps with Air mode, Hi-Z instrument inputs, loopback, automatic gain and 24-bit / 192 kHz conversion. Supplied with Pro Tools Intro+ and over 80 plug-ins.
Presentation
On the front, there are two XLR/jack combo inputs with the new, even more transparent Scarlett preamps, enhanced by Air mode to bring brilliance and clarity to vocal pick-ups. Automatic gain control and dynamic LED halos simplify level adjustment, while the two Hi-Z instrument inputs accept high-impedance signals such as active guitars or basses without distortion.
At the rear, the 4 balanced 6.35 mm jack line outputs ensure smooth integration into any monitoring configuration, and the dedicated headphone output allows precise listening, with independent volume control. The built-in loopback is particularly useful for podcasting, livestreaming or integrating internal audio into your DAW projects.
Power is supplied via USB-C, with no need for an external adapter, and compatibility is assured on both Mac and PC, with a quick-start tool included to guide beginners. As of February 2025, the Scarlett 4i4 comes with a perpetual licence of Pro Tools Intro+, and over 80 Focusrite-exclusive plug-ins (effects, virtual instruments, creative tools). Users can also download SoundGhost's TEXTURIZE plug-in free of charge until 10 April 2025.
The Scarlett 4i4 G4 is a complete, reliable and modern solution for home studios, stage setups or hybrid configurations, combining ease of use, professional performance and a generous software ecosystem.
