Foxgear - Maitresse Flanger
The Maitresse is a fully analogue flanger, based on a NOS anolog chip, the MN3207, just like the old Electric Mistress. It takes its inspiration much further back in the 60s, when flanger was created by music pioneers such as Les Paul and Jimi Hendrix using tape systems, varying the speed of playback to achieve a particular sound that was somewhere between that of a chorus and a flanger. This same sound was used in later decades by the likes of Andy Summer of The Police, David Gilmour and many others. The Foxgear Maitresse lets you achieve this kind of legendary sound. In comparison, the Foxgear Maitresse is absolutely quieter and more respectful of clean sound thanks to a bypass system that avoids any lack of volume or loss of high frequency and pop when activated.
