Boss - DD-8
The BOSS DD-8 is ideal for practice, sound checks and backing tracks on the fly, thanks to its 40-second looper. And synchronising your rehearsals to a song is a breeze, thanks to tap tempo. The DD-8 is packed with flexible stereo I/O, while three selectable output modes provide a wide range of effects. The BOSS DD-8 Digital Delay includes external pedal jacks for on-demand tap tempo, extended looper control and a captivating Twist effect.
Presentation
Whether you want to add crystal-clear repeats to your tracks or drench your playing in vintage-tinged ambient textures, the DD-8 has you covered. Modulated echoes are also at your fingertips, as are special effects such as shimmer effects and reverse delays. Want to combine digital precision with analogue warmth? Then you'll love the DD-8's Warm mode. Create dynamic ambient textures with Warp mode, then explore the boundaries of the world with GLT mode. When we demonstrated the DD-8 here at SonoVente.com, we loved playing lightning-fast runs in +RV mode - this delay/reverb combination embodies the guitar sound that was all the rage in the late 80s.
Packed with essential modern features
The DD-8 is an expressive digital delay pedal, thanks to a host of essential modern features. Tap tempo allows you to synchronise the delay tempo via the built-in pedal switch. You can also use the built-in pedal switch to control the DD-8's Warp and GLT modes. And if you want the ultimate in creative expression, add an extra footswitch or two for on-demand tap tempo, extended loop control and a Twist effect full of echoes and flight. You can also use an expression pedal for continuous control of level, feedback or delay time - or all of the above. There's also a 40-second looper with overdub functions, ideal for practising, sound checks and creating on the fly during a live gig.
