The Godin 5th Avenue Kingpin II Cognac Burst takes the spirit of the classic archtops and gives it a modern, more versatile approach. It features a cutaway for easy access to the treble. The Canadian cherrywood body provides good resonance and response in the bass and midrange. The arched top and back add to the sound projection. The silver leaf maple neck and rosewood fingerboard provide a fluid playing feel. The 630.9 mm scale is comfortable for both rhythmic playing and solos.
The two Kingpin II humbucking pickups give a denser, rounder sound than simple windings. Adjustments are kept simple, with volume and tone to get straight to the sound you want.
