Epiphone - ES-335 Figured Blueberry Burst

A full-bodied attack and a breathing mid-range – that’s what the Epiphone ES-335 Figured Blueberry Burst, a semi-hollow electric guitar from the Inspired by Gibson series, delivers. The f-holes allow the body’s resonance to flow freely, creating an open tone, whilst the glossy Blueberry Burst finish showcases the AAA figured maple veneer.

The 5-ply laminated maple body with double cutaways helps to suppress high-volume feedback, whilst the solid maple centre block provides a solid foundation for sustain. The top and back feature the figured veneer, the sides are 5-ply, and a cream-coloured binding runs around the top, back and fingerboard to protect the edges. The glued-in mahogany neck with a Rounded C profile fills the palm, featuring a dual-action truss rod that adjusts the curvature in both directions. The rosewood fingerboard, with a 12" radius, features 22 standard frets and dot inlays, on a 24.75" scale length with a relaxed string action. The 43 mm GraphTech nut keeps the tuning stable.

Two Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers in an HH configuration, topped with nickel covers and black surrounds, deliver a rich tone at both the bridge and neck positions. The 3-position toggle switch with a cream-coloured knob selects the pickups, whilst the two CTS volume and two tone controls—with black Top Hat knobs and silver inserts—allow for individual adjustment of each setting. The Tune-O-Matic LockTone bridge and LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece secure the strings beneath nickel hardware, whilst the 6.35 mm jack output connects the guitar to the amp.

Blues, jazz, rock and pop all find their place here. The .010 to .046 strings, fitted as standard, deliver a crisp attack. The black multi-layered pickguard and the black two-layer truss rod cover protect the wood; the two strap buttons allow for standing performances; the Epiphone logo and the Gibson mother-of-pearl crown adorn the headstock; and the premium Epiphone gig bag carries it all to rehearsals.
