D'Angelico - Premier Mini DC Sky Blue

Compact in size, big on ambition: the D’Angelico Premier Mini DC reduces the body size without compromising the tone. The semi-hollow body with a central block retains the sustain of a solid-body guitar whilst maintaining the character of a hollow-body, all within a compact frame measuring 355.6 mm wide by 44.5 mm thick. The double cutaway provides access to both sides of the neck, beneath a glossy Sky Blue finish.

The laminated spruce top delivers a crisp attack, whilst the laminated maple sides and back provide a denser tone. The 5-ply body binding frames the whole, the 5-ply Tortoise Scalini pickguard provides a dark accent against the blue, and the Stopbar tailpiece anchors the strings to the body for direct transmission of vibrations.

The maple neck, with a gloss finish and C-shaped profile, features a set-neck construction, with the neck width increasing from 20 mm at the 1st fret to 22 mm at the 12th. The ovangkol fingerboard, with a radius of 355.6 mm, features 22 Medium Vintage Nickel Silver frets, White Pearloid Block inlays and side inlays, set against 3-ply headstock and fingerboard purfling. The 42.9 mm PPS nut sets the strings to a scale length of 635 mm, adjusted by a double-action truss rod housed beneath an Aluminium Skyscraper cover, with a standard headstock and D’Angelico New York and Premier Shield logos in mother-of-pearl.

The chrome-plated Tune-O-Matic bridge and Grover 109 Super Rotomatic tuning machines, with a chrome finish, ensure the guitar stays in tune. The two Seymour Duncan Designed humbuckers – the HB-102N (neck) and HB-101B (bridge), with chrome covers – are controlled by two volume controls, 2 tone controls and a 3-position selector switch, via 500 kΩ potentiometers to a mono jack output, with 4 black Speed buttons, chrome strap buttons, D’Angelico Electrozinc 10-46 strings, supplied in a DPEMDCBAG gig bag.
