Presentation
The heart of the machine beats thanks to Bartolini BH2 pickups. These passive dual-coil pickups capture every nuance of your playing, from nervous slap to velvety fingerpicking. This avoids the 'mush' effect often feared on low B strings. Here, the B string sings crisply, while the high C pierces the mix with welcome clarity. It's clean, organic and a great way to lay a solid foundation.
In terms of settings, the Ibanez Custom electronics have everything to please you. There's a three-band EQ and a three-position midrange selector. During a concert, switch to passive mode if the battery gives out: the treble potentiometer then becomes a global tone. The MR5S bridge even lets you adjust the string spacing by plus or minus 1.5 mm. Quite simply, it's tailor-made for your fingers.
