Jet Guitars - JJ 300 P90 Black

Jet Guitars has built the JJ-300 P90 Black around a precise sonic conviction: the body's torrefied poplar, heat-treated to remove residual moisture from the wood, produces a drier, more direct response than raw poplar - the midrange is lighter, the attack better defined, and the sustain tighter towards the fundamental rather than diluted by harmonics. On this body, two P90 pickups hold a clear line: single-coil in an extended-pole format, they deliver a signal that's warmer and thicker than a traditional single-coil, with that slightly rough grain that sticks to strong pick playing or taut blues. The 3-position selector and 1-volume/1-tone controls divide the circuit into blocks that are easy to read on stage, without overloading the soundstage.

The torrefied Canadian maple neck with Modern C profile slopes down to the torrefied maple fingerboard with a 241.3 mm radius - a near-flat curvature that serves wide bends without cramping in the high position on the 22 frets. The double-action trussrod adjusts the curvature in both directions, covering seasonal variations without disassembly. The polymer fibre saddle, cut to 41.9 mm, spaces the strings with regularity, while the chrome tuning machines anchor the tuning with a stable hold.

The integrated tremolo works on short inflections without destabilising the tuning on moderate variations. The all-chrome hardware and tortoiseshell pickguard close the aesthetics in sharp contrast to the Black body - a guitar whose visual interpretation announces exactly what it sounds like.
