Jet Guitars JJ 350 Purple Some guitars make their presence felt from a distance. The Jet Guitars JJ-350 Purple in Jazzmaster format sets the tone straight away: body, back and sides in torrefied poplar, neck in torrefied Canadian maple, rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets on a 647.7 mm scale length. The HH ceramic humbuckers with nickel-plated covers and the tortoiseshell pickguard do the rest. The purple makes no apologies.

The Jet Guitars JJ-350 Purple certainly doesn’t go unnoticed. The purple — deep, almost metallic under certain stage lights — stretches across the characteristic curves of the Jazzmaster body, wide and generous, with the tortoiseshell pickguard standing out like a bass line in a saturated mix. It’s a guitar that makes a statement even before it’s tuned.

The body, crafted from torrefied poplar—with the top, sides and back all subjected to the same heat treatment—has shed the traits that wood often retains: unpredictable moisture, uneven response and a lack of definition in the mid-range. What it retains is lightness and a clear transmission of vibration, without any unwanted filtering. The 647.7 mm scale length provides balanced string tension across all 22 frets — neither too flexible for rhythm playing, nor too stiff for sustained bends in the upper register.

The Modern C-profile neck, crafted from roasted Canadian maple, is built for long sessions. The 41.9 mm nut width provides just the right spacing between the strings, and the bone or polymer fibre nut — the standard material in the series since 2025 — ensures optimal energy transfer right where it all begins. The rosewood fingerboard with a 241.3 mm radius rounds out the touch, softens the highs and deepens the mids. The double-action truss rod maintains the neck’s curvature whatever the venue.

The HH ceramic humbuckers, featuring JET’s proprietary specifications and recognisable by their nickel-plated covers, deliver character without any frequency distortion. The 3-way selector switches between neck, bridge and both together — tone and volume controls complete the picture, with understated elegance. The fixed bridge running through the body anchors the sustain and locks in the tuning. The chrome hardware ties the whole thing together without weighing it down.
