The Clover preamp/booster is a faithful recreation of the 1984 Boss FA-1 FET preamp, but with several additional features that make it an even better circuit.

Presentation
There are 3 EQ settings to boost or cut bass, midrange and treble, and a rotary selector has 3 positions: Full EQ, No Mid and No EQ.
- In Full EQ mode, the 3 controls operate on all the available EQ.
- In No Mid mode, it's an exact replica of the FA-1, but without the ability to adjust the midrange, which is set to a fixed setting.
- In No EQ mode, all the EQ settings are removed and the Clover acts only as a FET booster, perfect for pushing an amp.
On the right-hand side is a Low Cut selector that removes some of the bass to help it stand out in the mix.
In addition to the jack input and output, the Clover has an XLR output for use as an acoustic or bass preamp.
These outputs can be used individually or simultaneously if you want to connect to a console or interface, as well as an amp.
