Moai Maea is KMA's answer to the long-forgotten analogue octaver. The pedal generates an upper octave and up to two sub-octaves, helping you generate a huge wall of sound by playing a single note. The top octave has an edgy, fuzzy character reminiscent of the octavers of the late 60s and early 70s, as used by legends like Hendrix and The Stooges. The sub-octaves transform your guitar into a filthy, wall-shaking bass.

LaMoai Maea lets you create an individual mix of each generated octave and the original signal. To extend your soundscapes, the pedal features an effects loop with a Buffer in series, in the clean path, as well as a phase inverter to prevent phase cancellation when mixing signals.
Each octave section is footswitchable. You can activate and deactivate the upper octave by jumping to the SHRIEK switch and the sub-octave by the DRONE switch.
So, if you're looking for a pedal to give you that extra edge, the Moai Maea might just be the nirvana you've been looking for.
WARNING: The Moai Maea is an analogue octaver and works in monophonic only, not polyphonic!
This means that for perfect, clean tracking, you need to play single notes.
Bear in mind that the chords will sound a little "different, but charming all the same".
