LTD - B205 DX Black Burst

To create deeper lines, go lower down the neck or give certain grooves more breathing space, a 5-string bass provides an extra string without altering the 34" scale length. The LTD B-205DX Black Burst embodies this approach with an extended range and a configuration designed to allow for easy variation in tone character. It is naturally at home in rock, metal, funk, pop and contemporary styles where bass lines regularly explore the lower register.

The two ESP SB-5 pickups, positioned at the neck and bridge, offer a range of tonal possibilities by adjusting their balance. The control section includes Volume, Balance, Bass and Treble: everything needed to adjust the presence of the bass and treble frequencies or alter the balance between the two pickups directly from the instrument. This configuration therefore allows the bassist to tailor their sound to the track without having to make numerous external adjustments.

Playing comfort is ensured in particular by a roasted maple neck with a Thin U profile, combined with a rosewood fingerboard featuring 24 extra-jumbo frets. The 45 mm nut width complements the five-string configuration, whilst the bolt-on construction retains the familiar feel of a bolt-on bass. Visually, the burl poplar top reveals its grain and knots beneath the Black Burst finish, complemented by black hardware that enhances its aesthetic appeal.
