LTD - B205 DX Red Burst

Fancy playing lower notes without completely changing your playing style? With its fifth string, the LTD B-205DX Red Burst extends the available range and opens up more possibilities for creating deep bass lines, accompanying chords or adding more depth to grooves. This configuration is naturally at home in rock, metal, funk, pop and modern styles where the lower register plays a key role.

The two ESP SB-5 pickups, positioned at the neck and bridge, allow you to vary the character of the sound by adjusting their balance. The Volume, Balance, Bass and Treble controls then allow you to fine-tune the sound directly from the bass. The bassist can thus adapt their tone to the track, switching from a rounder sound to a more pronounced attack, or boosting the low end when the bassline calls for it.

Comfort remains at the heart of this B-205DX. Its roasted maple neck features a Thin U profile and a rosewood fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo frets. The 34" scale length retains a familiar feel, whilst the 45 mm nut width complements the five-string configuration naturally. Finally, the burl poplar top reveals its grain and knots beneath the Red Burst finish, with black hardware that emphasises its visual character.
