To find out more...
Marcus Miller's jazz is strongly inspired by Afro-American music. His compositions include elements of funk, gospel, blues and soul. This musical diversity makes his style instantly recognisable. He also likes to incorporate African influences into certain projects. His album 'Afrodeezia', released in 2015, explores the links between African and American music. To produce this project, Marcus Miller travelled to several countries to meet local musicians. This artistic approach demonstrates his interest in history and cultural traditions. His music thus becomes a journey through different musical identities.
