Versatile flagship model designed to reproduce Marcus Miller's signature sound
To find out more...
Marcus Miller's slap technique is often cited as one of the most influential in the history of electric bass. Inspired by pioneers like Larry Graham, he developed a more melodic and extremely controlled approach. His playing alternates between percussive strikes, fast ghost notes and very singable lines. Unlike some demonstrative bassists, Marcus Miller always favours groove and musical balance. Many of his live performances show his ability to improvise with great fluidity while remaining rhythmically precise. Many contemporary bassists still study his recordings to understand his articulation, his management of dynamics and his incredible mastery of timing.
