MARTINEZ presents the Torres Mahogany 1/4 RN, the smallest model in its Torres range, designed specifically for those just starting out on the classical guitar. The solid cedar top produces a rounded bass tone despite the body’s compact size – a response that is surprising for such a small instrument.

The mahogany back and sides give the sound a focused quality without making it harsh – a wood that has proven its worth on much larger instruments. The 520 mm scale length reduces the distance between the frets, and the 50 mm nut ensures a string spacing that remains manageable for a child just starting out.

Fitted with six strings, it follows the classical learning path right from the very first arpeggios, with no pickups or electronics to worry about on this acoustic version. Its natural finish allows the wood grain to show through, a simple choice for a first instrument that, above all, should inspire a desire to play.
