If you look at the OD-9 circuit, you'll realise that it's not a vague copy with current components, it's THE original OD-9 (TS-9) circuit, but with the addition of real bypass switching. Even the PC board is the same as that used by Maxon for over 30 years, with empty slots where parts for the FET switching circuit have been left out! Like the original, the current OD-9 is equipped with the NJM (JRC) 4558D op-amp, an essential component for authentic TS sound. The NJM sounds smoother and less compressed than other op amps, offering superior sound quality and low noise.
