Specially designed for high-gain distortion tones, the SM-9's flexible saturation circuit can produce everything from a classic crunch to the raucous sound of modern metalheads. Instead of conventional tone controls, the SM-9 features Scoop and Edge knobs. The Scoop control is a mid-band elimination filter with a range of 200 Hz to 2 KHz. This control sets the frequency range over which the pedal's midrange cut-off is centred.
