Mipro - ACT-80R

MIPRO's ACT-80R is an HF receiver designed for mobile ENG applications, where compactness and performance must go hand in hand. Its housing, made of fibre-reinforced magnesium alloy, combines lightness and strength, making it an ideal companion for filming and situations where every gram counts.

Despite its compact size, the ACT-80R incorporates advanced technologies. It uses true diversity dual-antenna architecture to ensure stable, uninterrupted reception, even in high-frequency environments. Its 64 MHz bandwidth enables it to select from 216 preset frequencies, divided into 16 groups, with 25 kHz spacing for optimum accuracy. Synchronisation with transmitters is fast, thanks to the ACT function, which automates frequency setting.

On the audio side, the receiver uses digital processing with 24-bit / 44.1 kHz sampling. DigitnamicPlus™ technology eliminates compand noise, offering clear reproduction, close to that of a wired link. Frequency response covers 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with a signal-to-noise ratio of over 108 dB and distortion of less than 0.03% at 1 kHz. Latency is kept under 3 ms, ensuring a natural, responsive audio experience.

The ACT-80R features a backlit LCD screen for quick access to settings via three buttons. It also features a 3.5 mm stereo headphone output, as well as a mini-jack analogue output for direct integration into various systems. Powered by two AA batteries, it has a battery life of around 7.5 hours, enough to cover a day's recording. Weighing just 92g and pocket-sized, the ACT-80R combines mobility, security thanks to its 256-bit encryption, and top-level audio performance.
