Electric Guitar Effects
The MXR TRS Split + Tap effects pedal includes a footswitch that adjusts the tempo of effects or changes parameters. The Left and Right jacks handle the signals of the left and right channels. The TRS jack transmits or receives a TRS signal. The TAP jack sends a control signal to adjust the tempo or change modes. Internal switches configure the TAP jack's contact handling.

Presentation
The MXR Split + Tap is an effects pedal that can be used to control the tempo of effects or change the parameters of an effects unit via its footswitch.
Simply connect a standard instrument cable to the TAP output to the appropriate input on the effect.
To split a stereo signal into left/right channels, plug a TRS cable into the TRS input of the Split + Tap and use two instrument cables for the Left and Right outputs to your mono devices.
To combine mono signals into a TRS path, connect the mono outputs to the inputs of this model and connect a TRS cable to your stereo device.
This reference is pre-configured to work with the MXR Joshua Ambient Echo. To adjust the tip/ring wiring, remove the bottom plate.
