Novation - 61SL MkIII
A master keyboard with MIDI and CV/Gate control, the 61SL MkIII features an 8-track sequencer, 61 semi-weighted keys and 16 assignable RGB pads. In addition to Ableton Live 12 Lite, the Novation 61SL MkII master keyboard now includes Cubase 14 LE, adding to the standard range. It's set to become the centrepiece of all your hardware with integration with a host of DAWs, especially as since NAMM 2025, Novation and Native Instruments have been offering SL controllers compatible with the NKS ecosystem, as well as a new version of the GForce Bass Station software synth.
Presentation
Imagine opening Komplete Kontrol and gaining instant access to over 2,000 instruments and effects, mapped with surgical precision, at the touch of a button. Parameters are displayed directly on your screens, and your controls respond as if they'd been designed for it from day one. You spend less time digging through menus and more time playing. In short, if your 61SL MkIII was already the conductor of your studio orchestra, it's now set to become its star soloist.
And because a keyboard without a good synth is like pizza without cheese, Novation and GForce have thought of everything. The Bass Station resurfaces in a software version boosted with creative hormones. With the addition of up to 16-voice polyphony, a scalpel-tuned filter and on-board effects (chorus, reverb, distortion, delay), there's enough to transform the slightest oscillation into a sonic tsunami. As for the sequencer, with its two macro tracks and randomisation options, it's likely to become your best ally when it comes to thinking outside the box. In short, nostalgia is good, but innovation is even better.
With Ableton Live 12 Lite and Cubase 14 LE included, your Novation 61SL MkII becomes a true creative station ready to capture every idea. Live 12 Lite gives you a fluid workflow, perfect for improvising and structuring your tracks in the blink of an eye, while Cubase 14 LE deploys its pro tools to compose, record, edit and mix with precision, up to 96 kHz.
Together, they open up a huge playground for your projects, whether you're in the home studio or on stage, complementing each other to stimulate inspiration and simplify every stage of production.
