Patina - PS-4 SGR Sherwood Green

The Patina PS-4 SGR Sherwood Green features an HSS configuration with two single-coil pickups and a humbucker in the bridge position. The neck and middle positions produce clear tones with a crisp attack and good note separation. The bridge pickup boosts the output level for distorted tones. The paulownia body keeps the overall weight of the instrument down.

The nitrocellulose finish coats the body without dampening the wood’s natural vibrations. The roasted maple neck is machined to a Modern C profile with a satin finish. The surface remains dry to the touch whilst playing. The rosewood fingerboard features luminous side markers visible in low light.

The 13.75″ radius facilitates bends without muffling the notes. The stainless steel jumbo frets reduce wear caused by bends and vibratos. The bone nut stabilises the string action at the headstock. Locking tuners minimise string slippage after bends or changes in playing technique.

The vibrato bridge maintains tuning during normal use with regular returns to the neutral position. The custom Alnico V pickups produce a signal with a pronounced attack in single-coil mode. The humbucker delivers a higher output level with controlled bass response. The volume and tone controls adjust the level and balance of the treble without an active circuit.
