Clear, low-distortion sound with fast-attacking bass: recreate club sound
- High-quality components
Each VM Series loudspeaker features a Class D amplifier with 96 kHz DSP sampling for wide-bandwidth audio reproduction. Its highly efficient performance results in lower distortion and a more energetic sound. The 4mm-thick rigid aluminium front baffle also suppresses resonance and reduces vibration, helping the speaker to deliver sound faithful to the original source.
- Aramid fibre woofer cones and Vortex Bass Accelerator
From minimum to maximum volume, the aramid fibre woofer cones give the sound an exceptional punch that you'll physically feel in the bass and mid-bass. These brand new cones are 30% lighter than traditional paper-lined aramid cones, making them stronger and helping them to bring out deep sounds. The Vortex Bass Accelerator also ensures clear bass without unwanted vibrations, thanks to the Bass-reflex port ribs that allow air to flow freely out of the speaker for an extremely pure sound, whether you're listening to songs or instrumentals.
- Constant directivity horn
VM Series speakers deliver powerful mid- and high-frequency sound thanks to the constant directivity horn, which also creates a large, uniform listening space. The shape of the horn and the rim of the woofer are specially designed to ensure that the flat playback frequency reaches the tweeter easily, resulting in a very natural sound.
DSP control: easily adjust the sound to suit the room
VM Series speakers have a neutral default setting so you can hear the natural sound of music. But every room reacts differently to sound waves. To help you adjust the audio output and find the perfect sound for the room you're working in, you can change the DSP settings on each speaker.
There are two buttons on the back of the speakers: Low EQ and High EQ. Without having to look back, you can set each of these two knobs to 4 different positions, for a total of 16 possible equalisation settings that are very easy to adjust. Choose the equalisation that suits you best for mixing or producing music at home or in the studio, depending on the shape, size and construction of the room. For example, if your speakers are placed close to the walls or if you work at night, you may want to minimise bass vibrations by setting the Low EQ knob to Room 1. Or if you feel you lack treble, you can boost the highest frequencies by setting the High EQ knob to Room 2.
New professional design: improve the look and sound of your installation
The all-new hexagonal aluminium front baffle features a new design, as well as improved sound quality and durability. It reduces unwanted vibrations for lower distortion, while the tweeter protection limits the risk of damaging the high-frequency diaphragm if you accidentally touch this area. What's more, the brushed, alumite-treated texture gives the speakers a professional finish so they won't stand out next to your other Pioneer DJ equipment.
