Electric Guitar Effects
The PEC-4V is a 4-loop router that allows up to four combinations of the four loops to be programmed and recalled instantly. The V represents the Vitalizer circuit, helping to preserve the original sound quality of the instrument.

Presentation
The sound of some effects, particularly certain types of fuzz and distortion, can change when connected after a buffer circuit.
If you wish to connect effects of this type to the PEC-4V, connect your instrument to the IN socket to bypass the Vitalizer circuit and connect it directly to the effects loops.
Loops 1 to 3 are connected in series (one after the other).
The signal is switched via precision mechanical relays.
When a loop is deactivated, the corresponding SND output is cut so that no signal is sent to the connected effects unit.
This eliminates the possibility of unwanted oscillation due to crosstalk when high-gain effects are used.
All loops are S.C.T (Single Contact True-bypass) circuits, so when a loop is bypassed, the signal passes through only one relay circuit for maximum reliability and sound quality.
Loop 4 is completely independent and uses the same type of precision mechanical relay as loops 1 to 3 for switching.
As well as operating as an independent loop, the separate loop SEND socket can also be used as an N.C. (Normally Closed) latching switch, and the OUT socket can be used as N.O. (Normally Open) for remote amplifier channel switching.
The separate loop can be used as a mute loop, A/B selector and other utility functions.
When three series loops are not enough for your system, you can connect the series loop output socket to the separate loop input socket to provide a fourth series loop.
The signal received via the buffered input (Bu-IN) or the unbuffered input (IN) is always available on this output for connection to an electronic tuner.
The tuner output is isolated from the main signal chain buffer so that a short circuit in the tuner cable or a malfunction of the tuner itself does not affect the main signal.
Each of these output connectors can supply up to 100mA (a total of 400mA for the 4 outputs) of regulated 9V DC power.
If one of the outputs is accidentally short-circuited, its short-circuit protection and automatic recovery function protects the internal circuitry from damage while keeping all the other outputs active.
When the cause of the short circuit is removed, the affected output will automatically recover and normal DC power will resume.
Double filtering on each Provolt9 output ensures an exceptionally clean power supply.
Clean power is essential for refined, high-resolution sound.
