The Retro Instruments DOUBLEWIDE II is a single-channel compressor that fits into two slots in a standard 500-series rack, but it draws only 130 milliamps of current, just like the original Retro DOUBLEWIDE compressor.
Other features retained from the original include the gray painted front panel, the high-quality, USA-made Simpson gain reduction meter, and hand-wiring (no annoying ribbon cables).
The exceptional build quality of the DOUBLEWIDE II is evident from the USA-made circuit board to the durable and attractive stainless steel enclosure.
Only Cinemag's highest quality input and output transformers are used for authentic, massive sound and a complete absence of external interference or noise.
