Roland's Analog Circuit Behavior (ACB) technology faithfully recreates the tone and behavior of real analog circuitry. With ACB, every detail of these original machines is captured, including the tonal variations that occur when multiple instruments are input in stages. Build your dream kit with onboard drum sounds, futuristic FM engine tones, or browse Roland's vast collection of stereo samples to create never-before-heard original sounds. Plus, the SD card slot lets you import your own samples.
The TR-6S has 128 user kits consisting of 6 instruments, each with its own sound. What's more, each sound has several variations and each sound is freely assignable to one of the 6 instrument slots. Each channel offers controls for tune, decay and a custom assignable control knob, putting all the power of sound shaping at your fingertips. The velocity-sensitive pads can be played live or you can record into the sequencer. You can seamlessly switch between playback and editing, allowing you to reshape your drum parts without ever interrupting your flow. Each of the 128 patterns can store eight variations and two types of fills. Patterns and variations can be played or chained in any order, and the auto-fill function automatically plays a fill every 2, 4, 8, 12, 16 or 32 bars.
Sounds can be recorded in steps or in real time on a 16-step sequencer with eight pattern variations (A-H). Further pattern variations are available using rollers and the Scatter function, which allows sounds to be inverted, interrupted, truncated and stuttered in perfect synchronisation. The TR-6S has the ability to record movements in patterns to create subtle movements or dramatic key changes. You can automate bass drum tuning, snare drum pitch, panning, effects or create melodies and bass lines. Motion recording is easy to use, and motion playback can be turned on or off instantly.
The TR-6S has two 6.3mm jack outputs at the rear and a 3.5mm mini jack headphone socket at the front. Power is supplied via the USB port or four AA batteries. The device operates for approximately 4.5 hours on NiMH batteries or 5.5 hours on alkaline batteries.
