The TR-606 software drum machine is a detailed replica of the TR-606 Drumatix - an underground model that has become a classic in the famous TR drum machine range. This software version offers the same sounds and behaviours as the original instrument, plus powerful new features that virtually modify the instrument's circuitry to provide more sounds and smoother programming.

The TR-606 programmable drum machine was released in 1981. Originally designed as a companion to the TB-303 Bass Line, its size, price and ease of use made the production of quality music even more accessible.

Its punchy midrange drums, bouncy toms and sharp hi-hats were popular with autonomous musicians, and appeared in many of the genres of the 1980s, from New Wave to Punk and all styles of electronic music. It forms the foundation of many hits, and musicians continue to seek it out for its alternative approach to the TR Roland sound.

With vintage TR-606s becoming harder and harder to find, their price on the second-hand market has become very high. Thanks to our revolutionary ACB (Analogue Circuit Behavior) technology, we've managed to reproduce the original analogue circuits, those that make up the essence of the TR-606 sound. In terms of sound, our plug-in is exactly the same as the original TR-606, with all its nuances and details. But it adds new features that greatly enhance the sounds and creative possibilities for today's musicians and producers.

The software-based TR-606 integrates easily with the physical TR-8S Rhythm Performer and TR-06 Roland Boutique instruments. You can transfer patterns from the TR-8S to the TR-606 plug-in, or create rhythms with the plug-in in your favourite music software and send them to the physical instrument for live performance. And thanks to its pre-assigned controllers, you can use the TR-06 to control the plug-in manually.
