Rupert Neve Designs - PORTICO 511 MIC PRE
The Portico 511 Mic Pre by Rupert Neve Design is a low-cut mic preamp with a 500 Series format. The 511 combines the impeccable sound of the famous Neve 5017 preamp, the 5012 low-cut filter, and the Silk circuit. Toned texture of Portico II. The input signal can come independently from micro or line level sources. The input has a 10 kOhm nonreactive input resistor that can support a 22 dBu signal, without needing to boost the level. A first gain setting delivers 66 dB of gain (in 6 dB steps) to easily find its settings, with Trim of +/- 6 dB to fine tune. For electret pickups and active DIs, + 48V phantom power is available. A high-pass filter optimized for transients constantly covering the range from 20 to 250 Hz, reduces noise and the effect of proximity.
