The Sabian HHX Redlight Crash 18" cymbal (ref. 11806XTSRLB) has been designed in close collaboration with the legendary Todd Sucherman to deliver a dark, refined and studio-ready sound.
A fusion of the Artisan and AAX worlds, it combines hushed harmonic complexity with brilliant clarity. Its slightly raised profile and wide, raw bell give it balanced projection, while the XXL hammering typical of the HHX series provides the warm, lively grain sought after by demanding drummers.
This 18" crash features a smooth attack, rapid opening and controlled dissipation, ideal for short accents and nuanced passages. In the studio, it reveals all its richness in overheads, offering a deep timbre underlined by a slight crystalline sparkle.
Made from B20 alloy and classified as 'medium-thin', this cymbal unfurls a dense, dark sound spectrum, while remaining perfectly controllable. Used on its own or in combination with the other sizes in the series, it reveals complementary textures of remarkable musicality.
