Electric Bass
The Schecter Stiletto Studio 8 Honey Satin immediately stands out for its eight octave-tuned strings (each standard string is doubled with a string in the next octave up), creating a rich, thick and unique sound, similar to that of a 12-string guitar. It features a Neck-Thru construction of maple and walnut plywood, coupled with a mahogany body and bubinga top, for exceptional sustain and deep acoustic resonance. The electronics are powered by EMG 35HZ pickups and an active EMG 3-band EQ, providing great clarity, low noise and powerful sound shaping to fully exploit the complexity of the eight strings.

Presentation
When you slide your fingers over the neck of the Schecter Stiletto Studio 8 Honey Satin, you immediately feel a welcome finesse, a slender 'C' profile of 40 mm at the nut, 22 mm at the twelfth fret, which makes it easy to navigate between the strings. The maple/walnut neck gives the whole instrument a continuous vibration between head and body, providing good sustain even in the lower registers.
The mahogany body, enhanced by a bubinga top, adds warmth and harmonic excitement, while the roundness of the mahogany and the catchiness of the bubinga combine to create a grainy sound. Each double string of the 8-string, picked up by 35 Hz EMG pickups in the neck and bridge positions, delivers both the punch and richness of the extra octave, for a very lively rendition of stops and harmonics.
The 3-band active circuit enables the sound to be sculpted precisely, from clear presence to compact midrange. The Diamond Custom bridge provides a stable foundation under very high tension, and the Schecter tuning machines keep the tuning 'under control'. The Honey Satin matt finish brings out the natural grain of the wood, without making the instrument visually heavy. If you're a bassist looking to broaden your palette while maintaining a high level of technical comfort, this bass has what it takes to seduce and surprise you.
