Presentation
The Schoeps Colette Wide Cardioid ST is a stereo pair of cardioid condenser microphones supplied in a wooden case, comprising a pair of CMC 6 microphone amplifiers, a pair of MK 21 capsules, two SG 20 microphone clips and windscreens.
The Colette series is made up of modular microphones that are very popular with sound engineers. The analogue pick-up systems are based on the CMC 6 modular preamplifier and the MK series interchangeable capsules. The capsules offer wide, linear frequency response curves and superior audio quality.
This set includes the MK 21 wide cardioid capsules. The MK 21 combines the best of cardioid and omnidirectional pick-up patterns, providing a wider and more generous pick-up than a traditional cardioid, with the extended low-frequency response of an omnidirectional. The MK 21 also minimises the proximity effect.
This Schoeps Stereo-Set MK 21 is matched in frequency and sensitivity to ensure accurate stereo capture in any application.

The capsules in the stereo sets come with a pairing certificate. This document guarantees extremely low dispersion of the level characteristics and frequency response curve. These curves are archived, as they are for all SCHOEPS capsules, and serve as a reference should they need to be returned to the factory for checking or repair. This ensures that the long life of SCHOEPS products can be extended even further, and that the performance for which they were chosen is always at its highest level.
