The sE Electronics sE2200 is one of the microphones that have left their mark on the brand, with a simple and effective approach: to offer a large-diaphragm condenser microphone that can be easily integrated into a wide range of recording situations. The current version retains the fundamentals of the original model, while benefiting from improvements in manufacturing and performance stability.

The heart of the microphone is the 1" capsule, which is individually tuned and hand-crafted. It delivers an even response, with well-defined mids and controlled highs. On vocals, the sE2200 delivers a clear, natural sound, without excessive emphasis, making mixing easier. It is equally suited to vocals, spoken word and voice-overs.

The Class A electronic circuitry, combined with a custom-made output transformer, contributes to the coherence of the signal. This type of design maintains a good level of detail while limiting background noise, an important point in studio recording. The microphone remains stable, even on sources requiring high dynamic range.

For instrumental use, the sE2200 is easy to adapt. It can be used overhead, in room miking or on acoustic instruments such as guitar or piano. Its balanced frequency response captures nuances without marked coloration.

Switchable low-cut filters at 80 and 160 Hz handle unwanted low frequencies, particularly in close miking. The -10 and -20 dB attenuation pads provide extra headroom for recording loud sources without saturation.

The set comes with the sE Isolation Pack, including a suspension and a pop filter, making it easy to use straight out of the box. Its metal construction ensures durability over time, making it ideal for regular studio use.
