Presentation
The sE Electronics X1 S Vocal Pack brings together all the elements needed to set up a coherent vocal chain without having to supplement it with additional accessories. The pack is based around the X1 S microphone, with the addition of a suspension and a pop filter designed to work together.
The X1 S microphone uses a hand-built 1" condenser capsule, with a balanced frequency response suitable for both spoken and sung vocals. It can also be used on other sources, but this pack is clearly geared towards vocal recording, in the studio or home studio.
The supplied suspension isolates the microphone from mechanical vibrations transmitted by the microphone stand or the floor. This limits unwanted low-frequency noise, particularly in untreated environments. The quick-fit system makes it easy to install and position the microphone.
The metal pop filter is integrated directly into the suspension. It reduces the plosives associated with certain consonants, while maintaining good intelligibility. This compact assembly eliminates the need for external accessories and simplifies installation.
The microphone retains the settings found on the X1 S, with a -10 / -20 dB pad for high-level sources, and a low-cut filter at 80 or 160 Hz to manage unwanted low frequencies. These options allow the microphone to be adapted to different recording situations.
This pack provides a ready-to-use solution for voice recording, with a configuration that's easy to integrate into an existing audio chain.
