For presentations and stage performances, the Sennheiser EW-D ME2/835-S SET (S4-7) digital wireless microphone system combines an ME 2 lavalier microphone and a handheld microphone fitted with an MMD 835 capsule. The EW-D Smart Assist app makes it easy to manage the system remotely. Its digital UHF transmission operates in the 630–662 MHz frequency range, and the automatic frequency scan helps to find a suitable frequency for everyday use.

To switch between different ways of speaking, the Sennheiser EW-D ME2/835-S SET (S4-7) combines an ME 2 lavalier microphone, a handheld microphone fitted with an MMD 835 capsule, a bodypack transmitter, a handheld transmitter and a rack-mounted receiver.

The lavalier microphone clips onto clothing, whilst the handheld microphone is held directly. This configuration allows you to choose the most suitable format for each presentation. The system transmits the signal digitally on the UHF band and operates within the 630 to 662 MHz frequency range.

To simplify setup, the EW-D Smart Assist app connects via Bluetooth Low Energy. Automatic frequency scanning makes it easy to find a suitable setting. The system offers 2,240 selectable frequencies, a channel spacing of 600 kHz and a stated latency of 1.9 ms.

The receiver can be rack-mounted using the kit supplied. The set also includes the antennas, the power supply with mains adaptors, a microphone clip and rubber feet. Two AA batteries provide up to eight hours’ use; the optional lithium-ion battery pack can extend the running time to twelve hours and is sold separately. This kit allows you to choose the right microphone for the situation.
