Expander / Sound Module
The Sequential Prophet-10M analogue synth will look great on your desk, with its compact design and ample sonic presence just waiting to be fully expressed. Designed for modern studios, this desktop module features an analogue architecture that's faithful to a defining era, yet easy to integrate into today's setup. You can sculpt deep strings, textured basses or expressive leads with a breathtakingly organic feel. (And it doesn't take up all the space, unlike some synths that spread out like a cat.)

Presentation
With its 10 voices of polyphony, the Prophet-10M opens up a generous playing field where each note retains its harmonic richness and sonic personality. You can easily superimpose wide chords or evolving textures without crushing the spectrum. This architecture also makes it possible to work on complete arrangements directly from the module, with a sensation of sonic relief that remains constant and precise.
Each voice is based on 2 multi-waveform analogue oscillators, providing a dense sonic base that you can finely shape to suit your musical intent. You can adjust the shapes, pitches and interactions between oscillators to create timbres ranging from velvety to edgy. This structure remains faithful to the historical circuits, with Curtis VCOs providing stability and character without stiffening the sound.
The filter system offers a choice of 2 iconic circuits, each with its own distinct response and grain. You can go from a more stable behaviour to a more unpredictable response, depending on your sonic desires. This setting directly influences the way the signal evolves, allowing you to build lively sounds that never stand still.
Thanks to the bi-timbral mode, you can superimpose two programmes or spread them over different zones to enrich your compositions without multiplying the machines. This approach gives you access to complex layers or more segmented configurations depending on your workflow. You gain in flexibility, while retaining a clear interface that doesn't lose you in endless menus.
Modulation is based on a multi-format LFO and a Poly Mod system that allows different sources to be routed to several key destinations. You can influence the frequency of the oscillators or the filter cutoff with precision, resulting in subtle or more pronounced movements. This interaction creates evolving textures that remain musical.
Integration into your setup is seamless, thanks to MIDI, USB and CV Gate input/output connections that open the door to modular systems. You can easily link other machines to create a hybrid environment. This connectivity means you can use the module in modern configurations without sacrificing its internal analogue operation.

Consider adding a master keyboard with velocity sensitivity and aftertouch to fully exploit the nuances of the module and refine your playing. This combination will provide a more direct, expressive response.
You could also consider a few CV and gate cables to connect a modular system and extend the modulation possibilities, enriching the interaction between your equipment and your creative workflow.
Also consider a stable desktop stand to organise your space and keep control accessible, especially if your setup starts to feel like a collection of slightly intrusive machines.
