The Sequential Prophet-6 from Dave Smith Instruments is a 49-note semi-weighted analog synthesizer with aftertouch, 6-voice polyphony, Discrete VCO and filters, an enhanced Poly Mod section, and a dual effects section. The Prophet-6 is Dave Smith's homage to his innovative analog polysynthesis, the Prophet-5. According to him, this product is not a reissue, it's vintage with a modern twist.

Presentation
At the heart of the Prophet-6 Sequential are two new discrete oscillators (bolstered by a secondary oscillator) per voice. These modern analog oscillators feature continuously variable waveforms with triangle, sawtooth, and variable-width pulses. Two discrete high-pass and low-pass filters round out the performance and deliver incredible sonic prowess. Voltage-controlled amplifiers complete the Prophet-6’s pure analog signal path.
The Prophet-6 Sequential is equipped with a dual effects section that provides studio-quality reverbs, delays (standard and Bucket Brigade Device—aka BBD), chorus, and a phase shifter. Although the effects are digital, with 24-bit/48kHz resolution, true bypass maintains the purity of your analog signal path.
Also on board is a standalone, 100% analog stereo distortion effect. Dave Smith designed the Prophet-6 Sequential with one button per function, giving you instant access to virtually all of its capabilities.
You get 500 factory presets, organized into 10 banks of 100 programs each. You can also create and save up to 500 user presets. Have fun!
