Your bass deserves a voice that carries, not just an upgrade, but an identity, and the Seymour Duncan Duff McKagan pickup set is that transformation. Designed with the iconic bassist from Guns N' Roses, it captures the raw energy of punk and the power of hard rock in an effective PJ combo. Imagine: the meaty body of a P-Bass fused with the razor-sharp precision of a J-Bass. That's exactly what you get.

The neck pickup, a Quarter Pound P, is the foundation element. Its Alnico V magnet and oversized coil generate a robust signal, with rock-solid fundamental bass. The secret? Bass that grooves with authority without ever becoming muddy, even under the pressure of a pick. It's the linchpin for the lines that anchor a track.

As a complement, the Jazz Hot Stack bridge pickup acts like your scalpel. Its dual-coil stack design eliminates noise, guaranteeing impeccable background silence on electric stages. The attack is crisp and incisive, perfect for slap lines or choruses that need to cut through the mix. It adds the clarity and definition that make every note stand out.

This set speaks to the bassist looking for a signature sound, not just volume. The four-conductor cabling opens up a world of customisation: combine the pickups in series for thicker audio, or in parallel for greater clarity.

Duff McKagan, born Michael Andrew McKagan in 1964 in Seattle, is best known as the iconic bassist for Guns N' Roses, with whom he recorded Appetite for Destruction, one of the best-selling albums in rock history. Before that, he played in the Seattle punk scene. After a near fatal bout of alcohol-related pancreatitis in 1994, he changed his lifestyle completely. He then joined Velvet Revolver, released several solo albums and founded a financial consultancy for artists.
