Static Microphone

Slate Digital ML-2, small-diaphragm condenser microphone.

ARTICLE N° 67032
Slate Digital's ML-2 is a small-diaphragm microphone capable of reproducing the sound of a wide selection of instrument microphones, including dynamics like the Shure SM 57 and Sennheiser MD 421, classic cardioid ribbon models like the Royer R-121, other famous small-diaphragm microphones like the AKG C451, and even large-diaphragm microphones like the famous AKG C-414 and the Neumann U67 tube!

No latency is induced in the audio signal, but if you're not using Slate Digital's VRS8, it's advisable to use a low-latency audio interface (Thunderbolt or Hi-Speed USB), at 96 kHz with the smallest possible buffer size (depending on your computer's CPU performance).

Like its big brother (ML-1), the ML-2 has been designed to offer an ultra-linear response without distortion, a sine qua non if the models are to be as close as possible to the emulated microphones.
