The cardioid pick-up pattern of this condenser microphone for drums has been tightened to pick up precisely the targeted source, minimising off-axis noise from nearby instruments.
The PL37's frequency response, from 50Hz to 16kHz, eliminates low-frequency noise and accentuates mid and high frequencies, as well as providing a fast transient response, ideal for percussion.
Although designed as a microphone for drums and instruments with high SPLs, the PL37 can also be used as a microphone for acoustic guitars and string instruments.
