The Geddy Lee YYZ Shape-shifter Signature SansAmp Bass Preamp Pedal is now available, in honor of the limited edition MP40 flash sale. The YYZ Shape-shifter takes the distinctive design of Geddy Lee’s other Signature models, like the GED-2112, DI-2112, and YYZ pedal. This model adds a Boost switch with 12dB of gain for more high-pitched distortion, and the Shape-shifter button, providing an extra 6dB of Schmegilka, which Geddy describes as “indefinable excellence!”

Presentation
The SansAmp YYZ Signature by Geddy Lee is a bass preamp pedal that offers all-analog technology. It allows you to record directly or enhance pre-recorded tracks.
In live performance, it can feed an amp and speakers. It can also enrich your existing setup or connect directly to the mixer of a PA system. Its Mix control adjusts the proportion between clean and dirty bass tones.
The Tight knob adds definition to notes in clean mode and makes distorted tones more punchy. The Drive control adjusts the total amount of gain and saturation. This duplicates the behavior of a tube amp pushed to its limits.
It also features a 3-band active EQ and a master volume control.
The built-in cabinet simulation uses 100% analog emulation to cover the entire signal chain, from preamp to speaker simulation. This simulation is suitable for all types of guitar or bass cabs and can be enhanced with an external IR if desired.
Designed to provide a uniform response, it avoids the peaks and valleys typical of single mics and IRs. This model operates with a 9V alkaline battery (not included) or an optional DC power supply (Tech 21 model #DC9).
