Union Audio - elara.6 R

The Rotary version of the Union Audio elara.6 transposes all the functions of the standard model into an architecture designed for DJs looking for a more fluid, progressive and organic approach to mixing. The four main channels retain their doubled inputs, 4-band EQ and two aux sends, but the rotary faders add a sense of amplitude and more precise control over subtle rises, transitions and fades. Dual cueing remains available on each channel to facilitate switching between artists or duo sets.

As on the linear version, the two analogue processing strips (AP strips) are located on either side of the central block. They include a switchable high/low-pass filter, resonance, frequency control, drive control with active side-chain and stereo width adjustment. These tools can be used to create dynamic movements: wider textures, controlled saturations, spectral openings or enveloping transitions. All of this can be sent to Aux 1 pre- or post-activation, offering additional flexibility in set-ups incorporating external effects or dynamics processors.

The stereo/mic returns feature 4-band equalisation including a semi-parametric midrange, two additional Auxes and a dual pre-listening system. The Innofader crossfader remains integrated, but the Rotary version is designed primarily for DJs who prefer to sculpt textures rather than cut quickly. The machined alloy chassis, universal internal power supply and balanced XLR Booth output complete a robust set-up that's well suited to professional installations.
