Presentation
The WORK LM GPIO is a network interface designed to facilitate communication between GPIO pins and an Ethernet network. It enables both the transmission of physical input status to the network and the activation of outputs based on commands received via Ethernet, thereby facilitating the automation of numerous functions within an audiovisual installation.
The device features ten fully configurable ports. Each can be defined independently as an input (GPI) or output (GPO), offering great flexibility of use depending on the installation’s requirements. The outputs operate in open-collector mode, whilst the inputs incorporate a pull-up resistor, enabling simple connection to a wide range of third-party equipment.
Native compatibility with the OSC protocol is one of the LM GPIO’s key advantages. It can exchange commands with WORK PRO processors, matrices and Audio over IP systems, as well as communicate with OSC-compatible applications and equipment. This openness facilitates the creation of complex automation scenarios without the need for a dedicated controller.
All parameters are configured using the WorkCAD 3 Configurator software. This software automatically detects the interface on the network, allows you to define the operating mode of each GPIO, and enables you to programme UDP/IP actions, internal memory settings, or commands to be executed when the device starts up. Messages can be transmitted via Unicast, BlueLine Multicast or Loopback, depending on the network architecture.
