Back then, the options for playing acoustic on stage were limited. Fortunately, in 1987 Yamaha introduced the first acoustic guitar to offer the possibility of playing at full volume without the worry of feedback, poorly placed pickups or long, tedious scales.
Although the style has evolved, the essence of the APX has remained intact. Today, they boast a natural look, a deeper body for better bass response and greater volume. What's more, thanks to their scalloped bracing, they produce a responsive, dynamic sound that inspires musicians with every note.
